Common questions

  • Hypnosis is a natural state that we all go into all the time. In a clinical setting people of average intelligence can be hypnotised in most cases if they are willing to respond. According to the World Health Organization, 90% of the general population can be hypnotized.

  • Absolutely not! It is impossible for the hypnotherapist to dominate the will of the subject. In Hypnosis you are always in control, aware of your environment and totally capable of making decisions at all times. Hypnosis is a consent situation in which 10% of the effort is the Hypnotherapist's and the remaining 90% is the responsibility of the client. Suggestions against your values simply will not be accepted.

  • You will remember being in hypnosis and aware that you have been safely in hypnosis. If you have any concerns, please let me know and your session can be recorded.

  • Therapists should never guarantee 100% success, no such claims should ever be made. Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists etc. do not offer a guarantee as it is against all ethical and professional codes to do so. You will find that those who do offer guarantees are not actually professionals, rather poorly skilled marketers attempting to get your money for nothing.

  • I work on research-based timeframes and offer comprehensive programs that are conducted over 4, 6, 10 and 12 weeks, to achieve optimal outcomes.

I also offer single and 3-pack sessions, depending on the presented issue, desired outcomes can be achieved between 3 -6 sessions.

For some people change may occur much quicker. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process and success is dependent on the presented issue, your state of mind and how well you respond to the therapy.

  • It is impossible for the hypnotherapist to dominate the will of the subject. Hypnosis is a tool and can be used for many areas including entertainment. A stage hypnotist screens the audience and chooses the most susceptible and most imaginative individuals for the show , who willingly go along with the suggestions. And it works. The same is true for clinical hypnotherapy: willing individuals come along to change or improve aspects of their lives. And it works!

  • This can never happen. You must want to go into hypnosis, be willing and give permission to the therapist before any hypnotic communication can take place.

  • No one has ever not come out of hypnosis. Waking out of hypnosis is like coming out of a refreshing sleep.

  • When my electrics fail, I call an electrician. If I have a toothache, I see a dentist. If I want to improve or change aspects of my life, I see a therapist. Why continue to suffer? Hypnotherapy works!
